MEET OUR PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Ben’s experience and passion for the fitness industry are followed closely by his experience in the martial arts. Ben has been involved in martial arts for a number of years; training in the disciplines of karate, Jiu Jitsu, boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. He has competed at an amateur level in boxing, karate and a number of Jiu-Jitsu and Freestyle wrestling tournaments. As part of his passion for adventure and in an endeavor to gain further experience as a martial artist, he has traveled to Thailand, Brazil and China for training camps. Ben is currently an assistant instruction of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Melbourne Budo Academy, Fitzroy. He has a Certificate IV in Fitness, a Diploma in Sports coaching and Development and has also completed a Nutrition for Exercise and Sport course through Sports Dietitians Australia. Ben has been working as a Person Trainer for over eight years and in this time he has gained experience in strength training, mobility and rehabilitation, manual therapy, customer service, communication skills and client’s overall health management. Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Health science, Anatomy and Physiology major from La Trobe University in 2014 and has just completed a Masters of Physiotherapy practice in 2016. Ben’s unique background in martial arts and personal training has enabled him to combine skills in strength training and Physiotherapy to deliver the best possible outcome for his clients and patients using a personalized and functional approach to rehabilitation.
